About
Why Mission Worship?
We’ve all read Amos 5 and know that worship has to be about more than the singing. The question is, how much more? The truth about this life is that we were never supposed to be living it in hoarded isolation. We were never meant to be alone, to be looking out for just ourselves, to be solo or so-low. This God-designed life was meant to be engaged with, eyes wide open, senses alive to the glory of God’s created world, our hands ready to work, sacrifice never far from our minds and hearts, listening to God and doing what he says. This is why we’re here. And just like us, our worship was never meant to be separated from the rest of life. Worship was never meant to be a question of doing ‘just enough’ to get by. It was, is and always will be, part of God’s plan; that we love him, that we learn from him, and that we love and serve others. Mission and worship – or worship and justice if you prefer - were never meant to be strangers. Mission Worship are two words that were always meant to stand – and live - together.
